Breakfast Ideas

Hey everyone!

I am this kind of person who can no eat the same breakfast over and over again. I got to have some variety! So every morning I have this struggle of what to eat and I know I am not the only one. Then the great idea came to my mind, to help each other out. I came up with some great breakfast ideas so that when you don’t know what to eat, you just look at this blogpost and you will definitely find something you’ll like. Oh and by the way, it’s all very healthy!

We all know our yoghurt and to make things a bit more colourful and tasteful I added some fruit we had at the house. I like things easy so I chose fruit which I won’t need to peel. For drink I have chosen fresh orange juice. This all is very easy and simple but oh-so delicious.

The next thing costs a bit more effort but is still so so easy. All the ingredients are shown in the picture. These pancakes are not your ordinary pancakes, they are banana pancakes. First of I put the content of two eggs into a bowl and mix it together with some cinnamon. I also mashed a banana till it was pretty smooth, added it to the mixture and poured it into a pan. After some minutes I flipped it upside down and voila! To add some extra flavour you can add, just like I did, some fruit like raspberries. For drink I made my own orange juice-tea! I pressed out one orange and filled it up with boiling water. This is so nice, I really like it!

Now, we are going to be talking about smoothies. There are so many different smoothies, I cannot name them all. With smoothies you can rarely go wrong. Just add your favourite fruit and it will work. You can buy yourself some frozen fruit, or put yours in the freezer. This will make your smoothie even nicer! (Disclaimer, not all blenders can handle frozen fruit). I can go on and on about smoothies, but in this blogpost I will talk about 2 smoothies because otherwise this blogpost will be too long.

First we have this classic smoothie. I like this one because you taste the sweetness of the banana but also the sourness of the cranberries. To help the blender out a bit, but also of course for the taste, I added an orange. You can also use whatever juice you have at home. Think about pineapple juice, apple juice, pomegranate juice,  you name it!

The other smoothie I want to tell you about is this green smoothie. I know you all have heard about it but some of you may not know what you can put in it. Well I will show you. To take away the plant-ish taste of for example spinach, add fruit. The important fruit to add, is a banana. I don’t know what it is but this banana changes a lot! I also like to add other fruit like apple and strawberries, as you can see, but peach as well.

Last but not least is something that is a breakfast with all the goods and it will make you so full. Unfortunately it is so hard to get. It is the milk a cow gives after giving birth. In Dutch we call it "biest". It is something you'll like or don’t, if you don’t like the original milk you probably won’t like this either. What I do is I put it on the fire and stir and stir until it gets a bit thicker. When it does, you must act quickly because it should not get clumpy. Get it off of the fire while stirring it and pour it onto your plate. I like to add cinnamon-sugar to it, this gives it a lot more flavour. My father also likes to add some Dutch rusk.
So, if you can get your hands on it definitely give it a try!

These are all my breakfast ideas, please comment down below your inspiration! I would love to add more to my list. (:
